Ask me anything

Gambit Weekly contributing writer, Dillard University alumna, cat mom, fiancee, New Orleans native.
Hopefully, someone out there is missing my work. Or at least wondering if I’m dead under the bridge somewhere.

Great news: I’m alive!
Even better news: I was away at Touro Infirmary having a baby! His name is Franklin and I think he’s just fantastic.

Possibly the best news: I’ve written a children’s book and it’s being illustrated now. Once that’s done and my lovely graphic designer Trace Park Design ties it all up (and once I figure out the self-publishing stuff), it’ll be ready. But I’m itching to write again. My hands were bothering me during/right after the pregnancy, but now they’re at 95 percent and I’ve learned to type fairly well with just my left hand. So, I’m ready for freelance writing and telecommuting editing/social media work. We breastfeeding moms buy ALL the groceries.

Thanks to my dear sissy New Orleans Good Good for lighting a fire under my gogo to get back in the saddle. Also thanks to Otis for messaging me on here today AND thanks to MSNBC for calling me today. Both signs that I needed to update my professional contact info — and fast!

(BTW, here’s an article I wrote for Gambit Weekly on babywearing. It was published after I left, so I’m just now finding out about it. http://ift.tt/VGOAmq) http://ift.tt/VGOAmr
